Short films

One of the key features of the Fear in the Fens Festival is our short film competition offering filmmakers in East Anglia the opportunity to show their work on the big screen in front of a festival audience.

The public vote for the best film, which is awarded the Golden Shuck.

Being selected for festivals and displaying festival laurels and awards on promotional materials can help filmmakers get attention for their films, and assist with funding their next projects.

Many festivals charge a fee to submit a film, which can be an obstacle to novice film makers getting their work seen.

There is no charge to submit films to Fear in the Fens.
